Friendship

did you ever consider that even though the truth your story sounds made up = a new store running out of pizza boxes?
^^ Privileged people that never had to work in a restaurant...

I don't get the nonsense of keeping tabs or splitting bills.

Aye. I always offer to pay the bill myself when dining with friends, and so does everybody in my group. We inevitably end up splitting - those are the markings of a good company of friends.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

If I call my friends out, I'm paying.
If they call me out they're paying.

Its the system that just came into play, it's simple and it works.
Also I pay with Zapper if I can so I don't know how splitting would work there.

With some of my friends I have no issues splitting a bill equally and in some cases depending who's in the group we prefer working it out and each pay for whatever they had. This system never failed me before, we never have non payers or short payers. But I for example know my sister will almost never share a tab with her friends/group, she will always run her own tab because she had a lot of spungy people in the past.

Ill leave this here.

Having a Girl as a friend is the same as having a chicken as a pet...Sooner or later you are going to want to eat it.

Zapper has the option to split the bill.

Or everyone will contribute some kind of round number ball park figure. Let's say there are 3 of us and the bill is R824.69.

We'll all pay R300 each, even if your part is under R300 bucks. The change becomes the tip.

Going all "oh you had this, I had that bla bla"

What if your part is only R70?

i have a friend who goes with me for brekkie for months, never once paid

never offered to pay

just comes there and eats, sometimes or most of the times complains the brekkie isnt nice

Most of the people we hang out with, also appreciate the value of money, so we always just pay for what we had, and then add the tip onto that amount.

There's nothing wrong with it, and nobody feels awkward or pressured into paying more than they should, or guilty because they paid less.

Not everyone's a rich bitch who can just chip in R200 for other people.
