Hi all. I need some good advice as these companies are giving me the proverbial finger...
During Jan/Feb 2018 Frogfoot started to install fibre main lines in the Cape Town, TableView area.
On the 26th of Feb I came home to my front lawn on my property, that was totally destroyed by workers who seemingly could not care.
After empty promises by Frogfoot I waited most of the winter and finally decided to have paving installed as I knew that my lawn would never recover again.
This cost me many thousands as paving is in high demand in the Western Cape due to the drought.
About a week ago NanoFibre came by to install a line for my neighbor.
They ended up cutting the shape of a drunk snake out of the tar next to my driveway, and then the following day some other guys came and did the cheapest repair job I have seen on tar.
By summer this so called repair, will be just gravel lying around an open drunk snake shaped ditch!
Yesterday more guys from Last Mile Telecoms (Frogfoot contractor) arrived here as there was a problem to get a fibre line to the black box on my property.
After trying several methods one of the guys told me that he was sure that the paving installers had crushed the tube while compacting the soil and that they are going to have to break apart my brand new paving that I recently paid thousands of Rands for!
I very very very reluctantly agreed as it seemed like he knew what he was talking about, but watched the process...
The moment they pulled out the tube I could see that it was NOT crushed!
What happened was that the guys from EdgeFibre had broken off a piece of fibre in the tube and then tried to force another piece in next to it, and this blocked the tube.
I have been emailing, calling, you name it and I am just being ignored regarding my broken paving and the messed up tar driveway...
