STAY AWAY FROM FROGFOOT FIBRE in George. Too many connectivity problems with Internet not available for hours. Unfortunately there is no other fibre available in my area.

Frogfoot in PE is just as bad and support is non existent

Very sad. We were so amped when Frogfoot announced their rollout across PE. Thank god we didn't switch from Openserve.

You've also got the connectivity curse we have here in Port Elizabeth. You need to get as many residents of your suburb there to petition another FNO to go trench fibre.
They're flat-out useless.

PS: George is an awesome town. LOVE going there.

They are hopefully ironing out the kinks.
Their communication and support seems to need to step up.

I've read posts of happy FF users here.

This is now the second time this week that I have no Internet connection. This Frogfoot/Vox combination is no good. I am tempted to go back to ADSL. Never had problems with ADSL. So I say again: STAY AWAY FROM FROGFOOT IN GEORGE.

Been staying in a newish complex for about 6 months now. This box has been sitting there, waiting for me to connect it.

These threads on MYBB is the reason it will remain untouched.

Frogfoot sends our daily, DAILY, notifications of possible downtime for people on their network. I never had this with Telkom ADSL. Hell, I was down 8 times in 8.5 years vs. 8x in 3 days last year September on FF/Vox.
Whilst we haven'\t had an outage in 2 weeks, it has happened to others.

I think they're having national issues so most of the country.

I've been on Frogfoot Fiber (in Pretoria) since May 2020 via Afrihost and, so far, my ADSL connection was TONS more stable! My wife and I are working from home so these issues are a massive problem for both our incomes. I've had downtime at least once a month for the past year. I've been in online meetings when the fiber cuts out!. Afrihost also don't want to credit my account for the downtime (off since Friday, 21st).

I'm reactivating my ADSL today. I'm hopeful that the old copper line still works!

They won't credit you unfortunately. There is no SLA attached to consumer fibre (FTTH). If you're down for a week they'd still not care.
