Frogfoot fibre

Seriously. This isn't fun anymore
Nope. I can choose to go with Vumatel but they're already more expensive than FF and they're also increasing their prices again (they don't get the economies of scale part with that). So I am sticking with FF against my wishes.

Frogfoot in Pretoria East has been up and down since Friday. Useless. Feedback from Frogfoot is near existent. They close tickets without responding.

"They are hopefully ironing out the kinks." I've had Frogfoot fiber for a year now and this is the worst downtime yet. They've been around for a while now. Maybe their infrastructure is too old to handle all the new clients.

Jip they don't care. They tell me to phone Afrihost instead of admitting there's an issue. It sucks to not know when the issues will be resolved or even the scale of the issue! If they say "one week intermittent issues" we'll be able to make other arrangements but this lack of comms is very bad! I'm getting my ADSL up again as a backup for my unreliable Frogfoot fiber connection.

Ditto in Villieria, been up and down since Friday as well, STILL not stable. Previously I had a Fixed LTE (MTN) connect that rarely was down, and then not for long, in the 2 years or so I had it.

Am thinking of changing back to the LTE connection if this carries on much longer.

I’m in Villieria, no issues on the weekend or today.

I still have my previous OS line/ONT/router :)

What happens is they launch somewhere and they never seem to cater for the uptake. Hence you get bandwidth issues. (OR their kit is also old on top of what I just mentioned).
But they'd be horrified if they read these sorts of threads on MyBB...that or they couldn't care less.

I'm also in Villieria, that's odd. Maybe you are on newer tech, latest ONT or faster than light fibres :p

But oh well, the downtime has reduced from a few hours to only minutes at a time.

On Ben Swart, but yeah infrastructure is less than a year old I’d guess.

It SEEMS to be getting better, so yeah

Ah OK I'm on the wrong side of the train tracks.

FF seems much more stable now.

I am a block up from Pierneef towards Queenswood, infrastructure was installed last year sometime. Surrounding streets got it about 2-3 years ago.
