Good Day,
Please note that Frogfoot is currently aware of a capacity issue on the backhaul between George and Cape Town. This is due to the unprecedented growth on our George network.
We are currently working with our Vendor to upgrade the capacity. We want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to mitigate the impact to services as soon as possible and will provide progress updates as and when we receive them.
We apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Thats why GPON sucks. Everybody in your area shares the same port.
Gotta say this is quite disturbing. Same trend as our Cape Town issue. Basically FF is waiting for POP's to explode with capacity / dropped packets and then troubleshoot / upgrade. I doubt they signed like 5000 clients in one day on the garden route.
Wonder what the initial link was to "Garden route."
Why do you never see people complaining about speed and downtime on Openserve? 1 year an my Openserve line has not been down or slow. They use GPON
It's possible Telkom is onboarding less customers per port than Frogfoot is.
Telkom also limits their upload speed on their packages to 100mbit. I see Frogfoot has no issue giving customers full 1gbit upload on some of their packages. Either way, crappy internet is no fun for anyone.
Home users rarely use upload, I doubt it has much of an impact, even your twitch streamers will use ~8Mbps or something like that so they have the highest possible viewership/not have their audience buffer. It's possible Telkom is onboarding less customers per port than Frogfoot is.

I'm sure you'll be rain's first 5G customer in your area. After sending clear written emails explaining what the problem is, with screenshots of times etc, over many weeks span:
Vox called yesterday morning:
"Is your internet still off sir, because we see it's on now. Problem resolved?"
Vox call this morning:
"We did a speedtest this morning and we see you're getting full speed, 100mbps. Problem resolved?"
My FF line went live on the 1st of November and have had 3 outages... Not even 2 weeks inHave been on FF for a little over 2 months and have already had 3 outages in the PE area. They are starting to make Telkom look good![]()
There's quite a few in George that will line up.I'm sure you'll be rain's first 5G customer in your area.
