I must admit, i was one of the suckers that fell for all of neotels promises and media hype when they launched, i went whole hog, and got a phone and a router....

only to be disillusioned by their apathy and unhelpfull service, lack of assistance and general wipe-their-ass on complaints and requests for assistance.

their helpdesk is unhelpfull, their staff is untrustworthy, they lie, and of course you can forget about follow-up from them regarding any issue you log with the (un)helpdesk.

That of course is if you manage to get through, and they do not drop your call after leaving you on hold for 15minutes....

So i decided a while back to simply stop paying, that was in march.

and lo and behold - today i get a mail from accounts - telling me i am behind on payments, and i owe them a whack of cash....

funny huh? all of a sudden i have their attention.

Now to see what transpires with all my past communication or lack thereof with neotel.

*waiting with baited breath*

When they call you, put them on hold for 30 minutes. Hang up randomly. Promise to call back.

Use every dirty trick in their book against them in turn :)

So...just want to make sure i understand. You simply stopped paying? Without letting them know or in any shape/form or mail try to cancel your account with them?

Quite a while.

not cool man
for some of these people it's not really funny but a case of owing thousands of rands because they chose to back your company, yet received shoddy, or NO service at all.

Just how are you planning to assist me? According to my accounts, i now have two devices, one a phone, one a router - both paid for in cash, by me, antenna cable 10metres, antenna, pole, all paid for by me, to increase the crappy signal i was getting, further, i have no way to check usage or receive usage information from neotel on my account/bandwidth, repeated speed tests show degradation/lowered response times in my area since i joined, i can carry on, as i have quite a list.

And that is without even starting in on your staff at your various call/help centres, and being stuck with bad billing practices by your accounts department, as well as despite calling twice, still being stuck on the wrong account type....

so explain to me here, how you plan to resolve these issues of mine, and perhaps then, i might be willing to send you my details.

Like i imagined....all this time, and no response from Neotel...

Interesting that their accounts department seems to be the only way to get the company to "do" anything....

and of course, after paying them, still no resolution to my complaints...way to go Neotel...

oh and neotel rep... you are a lying, disinterested, whiny and above all untrustworthy character...i will never trust anything you say here, or on any other media.... you suck.

SO much for neotel/neotelrep - as with the parent company, so with the "rep"...

Oh, and btw guys, i believe neotel accounts are easy to hack...so check your usage and accounts ...

@Hardtail

We're in exactly the same boat. I've tried and tried and still no response from them. Also now gone the route of not paying, because I've never as much as even seen a bill from Neotel! How can I be expected to pay something if I don't even get a bill?

I don't even know how many emails I sent...I did get a few responses from them, but they just told me to phone their customer care line. It's so funny!

The rep also sent me the message saying that I should PM him my details, which I actually did...any response? You guessed it...

Think the Neotel company training consists of one sentence... clock in at work, grab a plate of nibbles and there's the lounge...watch tv...if the phone rings, take a message, we're busy watching MTV.

What do you have to do in this country to just get simple answers from a company that supposed to be proving you with a service? At this rate SA will always stay at the bottom of Africa and the world, with no way of improving and bettering itself. The dark ages will be here forever! Go out, buy a candle, it'll give you better service!

Thanks for the heads up, was actually considering getting Neotel at our new offices, but after this I'm sure we will rather make another plan. Shot for saving us the time.

Only some people has issues

1. You need to know what to ask and explain yourself properly.
2. I have never had bad service from them.
3. I knew what to expect when I got the product. (I did not expect much and it has preform well over what I expected)
