So since Sanral (aka Scamral) is doing everything in its power to frustrate their non registered customers I am doing as much of frustrating back to them.

Every time I pay within the 7 days I make an effort to afterwards call their call center and open an official complaint either about the slow queues, or the invoicing or anything I can come up with.

Currently for every complaint I spend a couple of minutes on the phone wasting a call center agents time, this is done at their cost as it is a toll free number (toll free, instead of toll fee)

Opening a case takes long, so they call me back on my cellphone as I refuse to give them my land line or email. This cost them money and I try to keep them busy on that call for as long as possible.

Within 5 days they call me back on my cellphone to give me feed back on my complaint. Again I will keep them on the line as long as I can.

I repeat this every couple of days.

Today I put in 2 complaints

Nice idea and all, but who do u think ultimately ends up needing to foot the bill for the phone calls

I log all kind of complaints, pool of water at the Buccleugh N1 south gantry whenever it rains, flooding in the left most lane next to The Mint on the N1 south, not clearing accidents quick enough when I know how long they've been there (anything more than 30 minutes I log a call).

I phone in the accident to their traffic control centre, when I get to office I log complaint that I had to call it in because they were not already at the stationary car in the fast lane (or whichever lane its in).

Have lots of unused airtime :D (for logging the traffic issues 0800 487 233).

Log the complaints via a specially created gmail address. They take 4 days to just log it...

Only problem I see with this is that moklet is paying.

Scamral was quick today, they came back to me on my complaints within a few hours (of course not with satisfactory answer). But they spend at least 30 Minutes in total calling me on my cell phone at their cost. One of the complaints I put in was the long time it takes to pay in the outlets. I was informed that they are training and employing more staff to address this issue. (Although more staff is not going to help if they only have 3 terminals which an extremely slow back end system) But let them address the issues. I will find many other reasons to complain.

that part

that part

Yes that part, unfortunately I am self employed, with an irregular income, so if ever in the future I have to obtain finance for whatever reasons I will struggle obtaining finance despite having a good credit record. Just can't risk putting my credit record at risk for not paying for e-tolls. That might even put me in a worse position on obtaining finance in the future if ever required.

So yes I fight the cause in my way, not getting tagged or registered

You are misunderstanding. Sanral calling u on your cell, all the admin cost they are racking up. Who do you think will ultimately foot that bill? It will be us all in one way or another, either via fines, increased rates, government bail out (our tax money) etc

Why do you think e-Tolls will affect your credit rating?

PLEASE KEEP A RECORD OF EVERYTHING YOU HAVE PAID
you also need to send them at some point a clear statement that you will be demanding a full refund if a competent court finds that the tolls were improperly levied. The Afriforum case will hit SANRAL a lot harder if people like you claim back - and take them to the Small Claims Court for example - any money paid if the regulation notice period is struck down.

It might not if the system and e-tolls collapses, but if the government is stubborn though we might unfortunately end up with a (huge) debt, which due to non payment might get listed.

I have to keep my financial side clean, last year I was already refused a credit card due to non regular income despite me having enough savings in some other accounts to cover for living expenses for at least 6 months. (I don't know how banks operate though because people with no income or high risk are allowed to get them self over indebted, while over the last 20 years I have shown the banks I can manage my finances. Never ever missed a payment on anything and I paid things off earlier)

I rather deal with the paying money now. (Lucky I don't use the e-tolled roads a lot so cost are minimum) as maybe in the future when I need assistance from a bank trying to explain and beg and end up paying more due to maybe an higher interest rate charged because of non payment issues with scamral. Banks don't do business on sentiments they are boring old bean counters who just look at stats and figures they will show no emotion on how you might have ended yourself up in trouble.

Every time I pay my account as a non registered user unfortunately I see a couple of people getting e-tags and registering.(which I won't do. They will never bully me into getting registered or tagged) If to many people register and get bullied into an e-tag the system might not get canned.

Having every single payment filed away safely

I think they're cracking up on the number of complaints, this morning I have again a legitimate complaint, but it took me almost 10 minutes to convince the call centre agent to open a case. She was insisting it had to be done by email. (I think they want to harvest email address for resale)
