Fscking HELL! I know where our bandwidth is going!

I'm bailing out of this burning plane. Even if they do manage to fix it I'm not willing to pay another cent for it. I'll continue supporting the cause even after I'm free of it [:)].

Yep, Im anxious now too. Where is The Rodent?

/me lays a piece of cheese on the floor waiting for TheRodent to return

Rodent will post it when there has been an article about this issue on itweb (thats what I think). He probably have informed them about it so it wont be too long before all will revealed. Be patient.

With regard buffalobill's post above and from a computer user viewpoint (as I'm not a computer tech), as the range of IP addresses that Scumtech uses was given out in another post is it not a simple matter for hackers to probe all those IP addresses and find some/many/a lot of users without firewalls and then gather username/passwords and have free range to the network?

I was chatting to Rodent last night at about 23h00 regarding what I needed to buy to share ADSL over my wireless network. All sleepy and **** ... and then Rodent dropped a FSCKING BOMSHELL on me. I nearly fell out of my chair I was so astonished!

My jaw did actually drop. Didn’t get to bed until 01h00.

Suffice it to say that when this story breaks Sentech’s colossal incompetence is going to be so glaringly revealed that they are going to be a laughing stock second to none.

Sentech are going to be eating their "it’s the MW users fault" words so badly that they're going to have indigestion for years to come.

PS: The wait will be worth it!

No wonder - from the same company that said..."We are not an ISP". I think they actually meant it.

One day we'll talk about Marcel..."He was such a nice man...who would have thought that he was capable of doing those things?"

this just in on the sentech bulletin board...

Currently, 6% of MyWireless users in South Africa are “hogging” 50% of the network! This is one of the reasons why many users are not achieving their throughput expectation and is what precipitated the recent e-mail to all customers. Sentech is currently monitoring all “excess” usage and will keep users informed of the situation

They are using 50% of the bandwidth due to lost packets....

-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<-<

Perhaps S???t?ch could explain to us how users hog bandwidth? Can only be the special towers they are putting up to serve single users
