FTTC - Now what?

Hi guys

A colleague is asking me some questions - which I realised I didn't know the answers to... Please help

Her complex is getting Telkom Fibre to the curb - or the complex gate. Each unit will be responsible to install fibre to their own unit - and then obviously for the monthly costs...

Her questions:
1) Does she have to use Telkom as her ISP, or do other ISPs piggyback on top of Telkom Fibre?
2) Which ISPs does she have the option of using (assuming she has a choice)?
3) If she can use another ISP - who handles the installation of the fibre to her unit?

As far as I know, Telkom will do the installation right into your house, not sure if the cost is part of the subscription. THe problem is that some complex's don't want to allow Telkom in to do the installation.

Then, you can get any ISP which has an agreement with Telkom and relevant Fibre products - most ISP's
