FTTH - Technical Details

No problems at all actually. The interface on the Mikrotik is 'sfp_fibre'
I am going to try this, please confirm so you just plugged it in with no serial number replication ? Also is there a green light flashing on your SFP interface? Did you tag a VLAN to the SFP interface with a PPPoE account? Some screenshots from winbox and onsite equipment would be appreciated !!! :)

I've since moved to a more powerful Mikrotik router that can handle a 500mbps link and the RB1100x does not have a fibre port. You may have to fudge the MAC address on the Mikrotik to match the one on the CPE but those are normally quite dumb (just converts fibre to Ethernet). At my house I have a Huawei with Telkom fibre and that has more intelligence. So if your CPE has any sign of life, get the MAC and set the Mikrotik SFP port to match that.

I used to run a RB2100 but it maxed out at 100mbps (fibre).
