I'm shipping my PC somewhere and want to add FDE before doing so.

The windows versions I have don't include Bitlocker though (Win7 home premium & windows 8 standard). And after the debacle surrounding Truecrypt I'm not 100% keen on that either.

So what are my options here? Is it possible to upgrade the Win 8 to Pro?

I'm sure you can use Truecrypt just not the last released version. You can upgrade Window 8 to Pro, it's in Control Panel, Add Features.

Sensitive porn?

When I shipped my PC I pulled out the drives and carried them with me. Less chance of the shipping company thinking they can play soccer with a "fragile" box like they usually do and destroy whatever data I had

Truecrypt 7.1 - google it, download it and use it. The latest release has security flaws.

Nope. Just haven't figured out what all the countries stance on linux ISOs is.

I considered removing the drives but I don't feel like carrying 4 drives with me...

Ah - knew it must be possible somehow.

Thanks guys
