I have posted on my satisfaction with Cell C's rates and speed, but never really made a point of the service I experienced in Cell C stores. I purchased not only my own %gb package, but a few for friends in Gauteng.I bought the 5GB deal yesterday afternoon and I was just blown away by how much Cell C had changed. From the moment I entered there store it was as if I was dealing with a completely different company from the Cell C I originally knew. No queues. The salesmen were extremely knowledgeable.
Think he meant go read the actual Cell C subforum, some stickies in there cover exactly the info you're looking for.I thought that is what I was doing.
Now that's a helpful answer - thanks!
Care to share that streaming link "martin"![]()
Martin, do you care to tell me which website you use for this? I ditched my DSTV service last month and am looking for good streaming sites.

From the moment I entered there store it was as if I was dealing with a completely different company from the Cell C I originally knew. No queues. The salesmen were extremely knowledgeable. I was offered real coffee. I was advised to check for coverage on their in-store computers before making the purchase. The out of bundle charges and everything else was clearly explained to me before making the purchase. Rica took a minute on their systems. When I asked for the service to only be activated in December so that I don't waste a 5GB bundle on the last four days of this month they went one better. They offered to activate it right now and this month's browsing would be free. My 5GB bundles will only commence from 1 December. Whole process from start to finish took 10 -15 pain-free minutes. By the time I was finished, I was convinced they had forgotten something. It was just too easy.
So far the speed is excellent. Even the dashboard is much better than VMC. It's got really nice graphs to track your usage. The sms and service interfaces work really well.

wow, great post.
I am so happy Cell C has finally come to the party.
I'm glad to report a friend of mine who bought the 2GB package had a very similar experience to my own. Hope some more people post their experiences!
Since then I've watched an entire rugby game (SA vs England) streamed off Supersport's site with it only buffering a few times in the first half. Second half was completely uninterrupted. I've never been able to do this on a 4mbps ADSL line.
I have only one criticism of CellC's HSPA service [so far], and that is that CellC's coverage map sucks - specifically I cannot get it to zoom in far enough to determine if I am in the red patch or in the white patch which seems to float about in the general vicinity of my home.
Please could one of CellC's CEOs attend to the coverage map.
Meanwhile, I will have to get myself a pre-paid CellC SIM card, RICA it, and try put this temporary SIM into my HSPA device to see if there is any signal at all in my area, and then if there is I will load some credit and buy a data bundle [should be easy via Internet Banking - I hope].
Wise choiceI Just loving these Cell C articles
i just dished vodacom for cell c
and Kfc for Nando's
