I've just started using G-Connect but for some reason I can not send email. It continually asks for my password... if I switch back to Axxess it works, with no changes to the account settings at all.
Now before you start typing away to tell me what the problem is it's not that
I use Rocketseed to send emails not Axxess, there are no special ports setup apart from the user authentication for using the Rocketseed server. In theory if you use the authentication settings you should be able to send and receive email from any provider with ports 25 and 110 open.
As a test I've tried using smtp.saix.net, G-connect smtp (can't remember exactly what it is now)
When I did this there was NO I repeat NO password authentication switched on... in theory there should be no problem and that's what the guys at G-Connect tell me too but there is... I can not send email...
Everything else works I can receive email all connectivity seems fine.
Anyway I'm having a hard time imagining that I'm the only person with this problem... I'm using an SMC router by the way.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Greg.
