Thinking about factory reset. But getting all those apps installed again. My battery also not so good now.... Waiting on that big update
Were you able to fix this? My work around is vc via WhatsAppI actually picked on up this weekend aswell. I also don't have the option. Only a message icon. I'm with Vodacom.
I found this to be the same on my note8... disappointing actuallyDon't waist your time.
If you look at your IMS settings
( use QuickShortcutMaker to find)
You will see it's most
likely activated.( See screenshot)
After Googling a bit, it seems
to me that a lot of Service Providers
eg. Vodacom etc, has done this intentionally.( Not Samsung.)
Video button not active, as they want
you to use a 3rd party app
Then you have to use
data.(money) to video call etc. They score.
On my Note5 video button is on
dialpad.
However on latest device re Note 8
its missing. Replaced with Sms icon.?

Interesting...I checked my S8+ and although it has the icon, the option is not available (greyed out)

No, no video icon. When you open contacts and click on a name doesn't yours do the same as attached ?
Your screenshot shows that you are calling already and that is why the video call button is greyed out.![]()
