Wish i could load this build instead as im sure it would fix the video calling issue
so you want to go backwards? I think it's more a fact of vodacom blocking it

Our Note8s have Google Duo built-in though, is it not possible to use it for Video Calling? Just invite who you want to use it.Wish i could load this build instead as im sure it would fix the video calling issue
At the same token charging your phone to much is also problematic. Its best to let the phone run completely down. This will improve the lifespan of the battery. But like you said its user preference
Thanks for the tipNot a good idea to do this, this was something that was necessary with old batteries. Lithium-ion batteries, like the kind used in Samsung and Apple products fare better when they're charged. If you constantly let them drain to 0%, they become unstable. Your battery has a finite number of charge cycles, and every time it fully dies, that's another cycle.
One of the worst things you can do to a Li-ion battery is to run it out completely all the time. Full discharges put a lot of strain on the battery, and it's much better practice to do shallow discharges to no lower than 20 percent. Heat is also the no 1 killer of a battery.
Yip. Even BTU firmware is not being updated.XFE and XFV both have been update to November 2017 security patch(N950FXXS1AQK9).
Notice that December 2017 security patch is coming out, https://www.sammobile.com/2017/12/12/galaxy-note-8-update-december-security-patch
So mtn(XFA) is leaving us behind on August 2017 security patch(N950FXXU1AQI1)
Also seen a leak of idea for the note 8, https://www.sammobile.com/2017/12/08/galaxy-note-android-8-oreo-unlocked-us-leak
Since august there are more then 260 known bugs and security problems in android system (some of them are critical) and the Samsung´s most expensive phone has not been patched in some regions. Samsung´s own statement is, that Note 8 should get security updates every month. It is not about new features (this is only a nice bonus), but it is about security.
+1000 i am a bit miffed. My thoughts are the same as the comment on sammobile
Well, i flashed XFE a while back on my Note 8. To me its a multi CSC and unbrandedWhat exactly is the difference between XFE and XFA?
The XFE latest release on Sammobile is 2017-12-03, while XFA is still on 2017-09-01.
In the past the XFV was Vodacom, XFM was MTN, while CellC used the XFA version.
FNB was piggybacking on CellC also using the XFA firmware.
As I understand it the XFA was for "unlocked" devices, while XFV and XFM were network/carrier locked.
Xfa is mtn. If you can flash xfv... Get quicker updates... Only issue bloatware... But i suppose u cant have it all
I have it, and use it maybe 3 days of the weekAny got the dex station? Is it worthwhile getting?
