Must say, updates or not, I am still thoroughly loving this beast. Never fails me, especially for Work, Samsungs Calender and Email apps are damn near bulletproof, they work even better than Microsofts own Outlook for Android apps.

Never thought I'd be the guy raving about Work apps but this is what what my life has come to, where I need constant access to Emails and a reliable Calender app that updates itelf and it's widgets when meetings are cancelled and/or moved, which happens a whole lot at my current workplace.

Loaded this yesterday since the XFA version has not received OTA's since I bought the phone. Had to reset my device though luckily everything is backed up to cloud.
What is your CSC now... XFE ?
If so, i had XFE on my device, not worth it.
You lose wifi calling, Hiya spam protection
(phone calls) and i think no VoLte.?

I feel like people are too worried about updates, unless your phone is not operating properly?

Samsung did a great job of releasing this phone without too many bugs and weird issues, IMO. Mine is running very well to the point that I am a little apprehensive about doing updates.

Well it is a multi CSC ROM, so I am still on XFA, and still have all the features.

Then, yes you are o k.
I flashed XFE, which is multi CSC firmware and landed, on XFE. No wifi calling etc.
I had to flash XFV, and factory reset,
to get XFV and features back.

soft bricked my device.! (Freezed then Bootloop)
I flashed XFE, with Odin, to get out of soft brick. etc

Which one was it? And how would a software update have prevented that?

Firstly i do KLWP theming.
(+-3 years now.)
I subcribe to +- 22 beta programs via Google Play.
I installed a beta KLWP via their G+ site,
and that same beta version, by accident
was again installed from Play
Store (my slip up)
Lastly, i did not do an software update, but had to flash stock Rom to get out of
bootloop (soft brick)
Thus i flashed a multi CSC firmware, XFE...... etc.

How did that brick your phone? And how would a software update have prevented that?
