Yes and yes and yes
Ok trying those steps now. Should it then show BTU/BTU/BTU instead of XFA/XFA/XFA?

Give me a screenshot of your files you are flashing, something is fishy here....Ok trying those steps now. Should it then show BTU/BTU/BTU instead of XFA/XFA/XFA?
^^XEF is france![]()
And you specifically flashed BTU?
Well, I asked a guy on the XDA telegram group to assist in downloading the firmware for me, cause my internet is schit. He put it for me on Mega, and I downloaded from there, but I did supply him the BTU firmware link... that's why I'm confused.
The only thing I think we can still do, is if you try flash my version, following the procedure I did earlier? I can upload it to Mega, but it's going to take forever, since my internet is still a balls up.
edit: hang on. I asked him to download XFV for me. The BTU you had, was from somewhere in Jan/early Feb I download myself...... hmmm using samfirm.
I think I should rather just flash MTN XFA again and call it a day.
Thank you for taking your time to answer my questions...much appreciated.
Thanks.
I'm going to upload it in any case, if anyone else feels like trying.
You should have high 40Gb leftHi Fanie. Last question.
I didn't take note of how much free storage I had on my phone.
How much space should be taken up on a clean Note 8?
You should have high 40Gb left
Ok cool.
I have 40,3 gb free on my factory reset Note 8.
Wife's note 8 has 47gb free, with a couple of apps installed with almost no media.
Seems like duplicate install then? You mentioned something along those lines....
nah, mine was a lot less than that... did you do the recovery wipe, before flash move?

Another quick question - where did you got to see your free space? Just want to compare apples with apples.
search for storage, in settings.
