Official Samsung Stores have the dual sim Note 9 but at a hefty 19k price.

One always has to double check these guys, I feel like the people who put together the product lists probably don't know the models and thereay be some copy/paste going on from different sources.

They should rather put the exact model e.g. N960F etc... So people know exactly what model they are getting.

As far as I understood this, long before I even considered ordering mine, was that local operators do not offer dual sim Note 9 devices. It was only imported stock or stock offered by Samsung that came in dual sim, but they do come with a hefty price tag, both locally and abroad.

Yes, local operators do not offer dual sim devices, but if you read my post that @Tsepz_011 was responding on, you would quickly notice that Takealot and CaCellular as well as various other online shops are not local operators. Dual sim devices are indeed more expensive to get than the single sim devices, as well as even certain colors like eg. Metallic Copper for Galaxy Note9.
 
I got tired of waiting for MTN to push the September update for XFA so I flashed the XFE firmware from Sammobile. After rebooting I see that I'm still on XFA but I now have the latest security patch.

Got the phone for my wife and she's very happy with it but the research that one has to do just to ensure that you are really getting a dual sim and the color that you prefer is a bit sad though. Shop are out to make a quick buck off the uninformed SA consumer I guess.

Absolutely stunning and congratulations to your wife, I'm sure she will love it.

Got to play with one yesterday and it reminded me why I still love Galaxy Note devices so much, besides the SPen, they just have such presence about them and feel so right in the hand.

Why doesn't it have DUOS written on the back?
 
Can anyone with an XFA phone check if you have the wifi calling option under settings? I can't remember seeing it there before and it is now, after I flashed the September update.

It shows DS and 2 imei numbers.

Lately duos has been used for camera numbers by Samsung, not like previous years

Thank you. I agree, it does feel great but I want to see what OnePlus can come up with on their OP6T releasing on 29 October 2018. Just a shame about the fact that they had to move the launch event one day earlier due to a the planned event from Apple on 30 October 2018.

Are both sims active at all times in the dual sim note 9?
