Galaxy S4 Battery Draining Issue

I found my battery lasted longer after a few weeks. Both with Samsung and BlackBerry phones.

Too early to tell. We'll check back in the morning and see what your battery drain is like over-night.
 
Looking at your 1st screenshot I think you may have some corrupt files in your Memory card, Samsung phones on Android4.1 and above do not take kindly to that at all. I suggest formatting your mem card.
 
This may not help at all, but when I first got my Galaxy Note I, I noticed the battery drained far quicker than my expectations. I searched for a while, but the only thing that actually worked was this:

On some forum, the answer seemed to be that before taking your phone off the charger, you should unlock it. I have no idea why not doing this causes a problem, or why doing it would solve it, but I do it now and the problem is sorted out.


As I say, it may not help at all, but try it.
 
Thanks for all the help above. Since I removed my memory card and formatted the phone I played with it untill the battery was 95% and then turned off mobile netword and locked the phone throughout the night. The battery went from 95% to 93%. Will se how it fairs throughout the day
 
I have switched to 3G since I found that I have better signal than with 2G so I hope this helps also. With the next charge I will also try to unlock the phone before I remove it. If nothing works by Wednesday I guess I have to take the phone back :(

I see in another thread the dude had someting corrupt on his SD card and it screwed up his phone's battery life.

Did you format your SD card before you inserted it into your S3?

Also check which accounts are syncing. If you're using Facebook, disable all syncing! FB chows any battery flat in no time.

Nope I put it directly in. No formatting. I did remove it now and I formatted the phone so I will see what happenes today. I am currently on 82% with 1H of screen on time

The problem is now you don't have all your media to listen to, and your usage pattern is most likely gonna be different, and not a true reflection.

What does it help to have all your media, but your battery is flat in less than an hour? :confused:

It is a pain in the butt, but I always format my SD card when I reset the phone, or flash it with a new ROM.
 
Screen on time is 1H 20min. Can anyone tell me if this is good?
