Galaxy S4 S View Flip Case issue

Mine stays closed but if the cover is open for a while I have to press it down hard before it stays shut. Is that how its supposed to work?

Yes. The problem with mine, is that it NEVER stays shut (completely flat on screen), even after pressing hard, or after it's been face down on a table for a few hours...
Check out the photos I attached (it seems quite common, probably a small flaw in manufacturing process...)

Strange. Take it back to the store, Im sure they will replace it. I had exactly the same issue before they clipped it in properly and they were about replace mine.

Took it back yesterday afternoon, got refund...
 
Just went into an MTN in JHB and saw them fitting the case on a new S4. Got all excited and asked the sales consultant if he had one for me (he did and went to fetch it) - R599. As I was about to pay I asked him if it closed flush on the ladies and he said no - he noticed it didn't first one he sold. Seems to be a problem with these view cases - needless to say I didnt buy :)

Yep, I made the mistake of NOT asking first, bought one for R699, as mentioned above, took it back after five days...:mad:
 
I take it you got a refund. I did notice on package that the case has a 6 month limited warranty.

Well, the Samsung employee I spoke to on the phone, told me that his S-View cover fitted perfectly, but then again he works for them so I don't really know if it's true...!!!

For sure. Be interested to see someone who has successfully fitted it and someone else seen it
 
I'm sorry, but the thing that hit me is the price of this case. R699? For a freaking case? Can it make coffee or something that I'm unaware of?

DON'T order/buy from www.froggy.co.za, I saw the S-View Cover on their site this morning for R349, so I contacted them for some clarification, I then registered with them and placed the item in my "Wish List" on their site (with the plan of purchasing later).
I got home, got my credit card ready, and went to buy it, and guess what... THE PRICE HAS CHANGED TO R499!!! When I contacted them, I was told that they received NEW stock this morning, and therefore the price has been adjusted!
Can you believe that BS...!!! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Wow. Thanks for the headsup. Almost ordered it as well. Actually added it to my wishlist last night but luckily I didn't order it yet.

I'm pretty sure that had you had ordered & payed for it before they bumped up the price by a WHOPPING 43%, you would have gotten it for R349....

I paid R349 from froggy. It was delivered today but having similar issues as others with the case not closing completely. From what I have read online apparently it neads to wear in abit?
