It just randomly started rebooting this morning while using whatsapp and now it won't boot at all. Just cycles the logo screen over and over again. Tried rebooting into safe mode but no dice.

Any suggestions?

I really don't want to take it into samsung due to passwords and things on it or am I just being paranoid?

I guess it depends on your definition of 'things on it'

It's just passwords. No nudies lol. So there is no other way than taking it to Samsung?

Did you try pulling the battery and leaving it out for 30 seconds?

The more technologically inclined among us would likely attempt to reflash it ourselves, other than that back to your provider

Yeah did the battery pull no luck. Not gonna flash it. Would most likely totally screw it up then.

Haha too bad, half the fun with android is bricking and unbricking

If you don't want to take it Samsung, and don't want to Flash it then locate a Pakistani:whistle:

I hope you've stored all your passwords inside an encrypted password database, which is backed up in Dropbox. Then sending the phone in is no big deal. You could change the passwords of all the major services, using your PC. Google, Dropbox, Facebook, Evernote, Twitter, etc. Whatever accounts would've been signed into on your phone. That way they won't get to see much, except your photos.

Of course all the above assumes that you've tried to factory reset it from the boot menu first. Changing all your passwords is usually a last resort.

Well Samsung has it now and husband signed for data restoration so I hope they enjoy my midget pron :P

Got phone back couple of hours ago. Motherboard thingy replaced. Lost everything on it though but it's alright. Now I will learn to back up. Busy upgrading to KitKat now. Hope it's all smooth sailing after that. Excellent service from Samsung. Sorted in less than 24 hrs.
