Yet Samsung have managed to get better results with Sony's own sensors than Sony has themselves, the S3, Note 2, S4 and Note 3 are proof of that, I bet if Sony licensed out the Z1/Z2 sensor to other OEMs the story would be the same.
Sony seem to have great expertise in the hardware side of Mobile Camera production, but software? They lack what Samsung and Apple have, as both use Sony sensors and get better results.
I'd say Samsung know a thing or two about Cameras, the Samsung Pixon12 was a beast of a thing from what I remember in the Camera dept. but wasn't widely distributed.
Sony sells a lot of cameras - why make your whole business obselete with mobile phones?
so you agree then the sony mobile camera isn't really 'the next big thing'?
Sony wouldn't skimp on their hardware, but they might hold back on their mobile phone camera software, as not to directly compete with their own cameras.
Well, the times they are changing, so Sony might rethink things.

you might have skipped some posts there buddy... but do it, do it now, regret it later![]()
Didn't you hear? We're leaving the S5 for you to fly the Samsung flag high.
Btw, I won't be going back to Android in this lifetime. I still admire and follow the tech though.![]()

I changed from the iPhone 5 to a Sony Z. I regretted it so much I got a Note 2 but felt that was too big and got the P6. I really didn't like the Sony and the camera was CRAP compared to the other phones above.... Also felt touchwiz was more refined than the Xperia UI
Wow, you really have tried everything. Touchwiz is nice and smooth, but it lacks customisability. Especially on my Note 3. Icons is just to big. Needs to be shrukin down with more rows and columns added. Nova/Apex the best for that.
Change system font to Samsung Sans font. ; )
I wasnt expecting much from the S5 to be honest, there arent any massive leaps being made at the moment hardware wise that would warrant a bit change.
The S3 was revolutionary with its quad core processor and display but hardware isnt on the edge of another big break through right now.
Im actually considering seeing what the iphone6 has to offer before I decide on something.
The S3 revolutionary with its display? :erm:
I think not. It went from a RGB configuration to a pentile matrix and only got a few pixels more.
The screen from the S3 to the S4 was more revolutionary with much better colour accuracy and bumped to 1080p.

The S3 display suffers from black clipping as well, its a terrible display.
The S5 was a huge disappointment for me. Probably won't bother upgrading my S3 for another year. The latest Cyanogenmod and a new battery has breathed new life into my phone.
