Galaxy SII pre-emptive Classifieds ad... maybe... sorta

So... just toying with a few ideas here...

What do you guys think I'd be able to get for a brand new, in-the-box, received on upgrade today Galaxy S II... whiff car cradle if MTN's ads are to be believed? R5k maybe?

As an aside, what do you fine chaps think a 2-year old Desire in pretty damn decent condition might be worth?

Any potential takers for either perhaps?

Searching on gumtree (http://johannesburg.gumtree.co.za/f-galaxy-s2-Classifieds-W0QQKeywordZgalaxyQ20s2QQSortZ3) gives a fair number of results for the SGSII at under R4000. Trying to get R5000 would be VERY difficult IMHO.

As for a classic Desire, I would say around R2.5k MAX. The fact that it's out of warranty will probably put more downward pressure on the price.

If you want to make money off a contract phone, opt for the iPhone. You will flog it in no time. I did that. I had an HTC DHD already so I got the iPhone 4 for R10 a month extra and flogged it for a kark load. Its funny how people are willing to pay for it. Android phones are a lot more difficult to sell...go figure....
