Game on

Game on maybe.....
but their coverage is pretty much useless at the moment... :(

FFS shut up and do it already! :p:D

Seems like atleast they do more than talk unlike telscum.....

Game on; sigh and here i thought better connections to play online games with apart from the same old :(:D

This article may as well be months old...
And again I thought I was going to read something new. Less advertising and more connectivity will go down better.

weak

Week after weak, the same drivel gets trotted out by the marketing person.
Where is the service beyond the corporate clients that Neotel so fervently brown noses.
The coverage areas in Gauteng are in the strangest places.
The promise of delivery to my area is non existent.
yet the press release flow.
Who actually has a residential service installed:mad:?

they targeting taking 15% of telkoms clients over the next five years, from that statement, i cant see how come you guys are all expecting miracles immediately from neotel.

I'm a very firm Neotel supporter, however this article and especially the title, are relatively useless.
All the information is old, there don't appear to be any comparisons or sudden "Right, the game IS on! We're going to do X to improve the shocking bandwidth and broadband situation", just more of the same.

Bleh

Neotel needs to get a new website to reflect there desire to disappoint.
At least disappoint with style.
they are clever not to advertise on TV .....cause they got nothing to deliver.

They do have an ad on tv

"The wait is finally over, it's time to test the offerings"

eh right.. they "launched" in cape town almost 2 months ago, yet nobody i know in cape town is covered yet? their map shows a few spots of coverage near their offices, but that's so far north of cape town, they might as well still be in Gauteng!

so no, the wait is far from over :)

Pandey says the strategy of keeping a low profile has been a deliberate one. He says the last thing the group wanted was to overpromise and underdeliver and have consumers disappointed with the group's service.

Nuff said?

RPM, what do think when you read comments like the above and do you perhaps ever convey them onto Pandey?

I understand that it's going to take time to do a proper roll out, but their choice of first-roll-out areas doesnt make sense at all. Wag nog steeds

Okay, this is all good. Neotel is coming, whoopie!!!! My area is covered, all good, but I'm not signing a contract for 2 yrs. I'm not touching Neotel until they bring out month to month contracts or possible fixed line options. No offense wireless users, but fixed line is way faster and more efficient (in Telkom's case only when it wants to be). I don't trust wireless. And the funny thing is, prices aren't coming down, Telkom still distinguishes between local & international cap (FFS) and they're still increasing their prices, does not make sense in an industry which seems to be a good one to invest in will probably rapidly expand in the next 5 yrs.
