the specials just never stop!! just when i thought i would get a tv from audiovision in 2 weeks time at the home expo in cpt, game comes out with a special of i think the similar samsung tv at 2k cheaper!

the 40" full hd samsung 40b530 for 9999... does this mean buy now, or wait till the specials get even lower?


btw... just looked now, that tv aint listed on samsung's SA's website... old stock?

Prices need to come down a lot more. I've got five tv's at home (all fairly new crt tv's). When i do change to lcd, i'll buy 3 or 4 at one time. But prices must drop much more.

I just got back from Canal Walk's Game...I bought the model you mentioned. Looks AWESOME!!!

I would stay away from Logik. Looks kinda suspicious. Rather go for Sinotech then! Its a much better option.

I had a Logik 32" - when the input board went faulty - I found out that the pcb is generic chinese - also used by Telefunken - cost R1700 to replace.

btw - Telefunken is now only a brand name - way down in quality

They quoted us R12 999 for the Samsung 40" B530 where Game (in the same mall) had it for R11 999 and from today on special for R9 999.

ya audiovision is expensive. asked them for a 46inch led tv, was like 50k or something. told them i'd come back when they dropped their prices.

if its eating you just buy the tv one time no point in waiting and waiting....what is truly an amazing special? a 40 ' full hd for R5k? . just think....all the time you waiting you could actually be watching.if the cash isnt a huge major factor just get it.
im still extremely happy with my 42' Sinotech : i know the price will drop even further but ive had it for longer - got to watch all that extra porn

You mean the Xbox games look awesome on the new TV. The TV doesn't send signals (afaik) and the Xbox can't display them even if the TV could send coherent signals. Just a thought.

Audio Vision had my 46" for R1,000 cheaper than Game - I went back to Game and got a R1,100 back... I think it depends on the model.

noticed now that game special is on that 40B530, all others carrying the R11999 special are for 40B550 (marko, stax, hificorp). Only difference btwn the 2 - 550 has 4 HDMI connections, 530 has 3. 550 70000:1 contrast ratio, 530 60000:1 and lastly but most oddly..550 has 6ms response time, 530 has 5ms? anyways..still likks to be a good buy (just returned from Game - no more blue rays tho - you can buy it as the special now and then hope to get one sometime...kinda like buying new mags and then getting the car next year...kinda letdown.
