I recently sold a PC to a buddy, A old AMD Sempron 1.6 ghz with 256mb ram and a old 9200 ati card. Now the guy wants games for it.

So, what games can he get that will run on it?

Old stuff like Space Colony and maybe if you push it, HoH: Pacific Assualt, as I could play that with a pc slightly better than that one, on the lowest settings, though.

Thanks dudes.

Will tell the guy tommorrow.

These are good games but will he be able to purchase them anywhere?

Keep the sugestions coming.

He can maybe also try torchlight which was released recently(on steam) and has pretty low minimum spec requirements which his PC may just meet. Its a 500/600 MB download for the game though from steam for 20$.

Now that's a rip-off, seeing as it's just a prelude to the multiplayer counterpart.

Try Age of Empires 2, that should work

OMG are you really gonna actually complain about paying R140 for a pc game which A LOT of people are actually enjoying, but then go and b!tch about all the pirates on the forum...?

Yeah, but all the cap I have to buy adds up :p
I'll buy it over Steam and just get it from somebody else then. Or maybe not...
Hehe, just kidding. About the latter, I mean.

Heroes of might and magic 3 one of my fav games ever. The old C&C games you can get as a box set includes:
C&C+ The expansions
red alert 1 + all the expansions
Tiberian sun+firestorm
Renegade
Red alert 2+yuri's revenge
Generals+zero hour
C&C3(I am not sure if it comes with kanes wrath)
And a bonus dvd

Thanks guys. The steam one is out though as he does not have internet. I'm not going to use my cap up for the oke. Thanks though for the info. Actually all the info is quite helpfull. I have got some of those games somewhere but he has to buy from somewhere else so where do you guys think he could get them from?

I aint selling any of mine even though I hardly ever play any of those older ones anymore.:p

He can get them at bt or cna or incredable connection. Heroes is abit harder to find.

Thanks, I'll tell him the info tommorrow. I didn't want togive him the wrong info and thenhe would have gone out and bought games thatwould not work on his PC and then blamed me.

Look at the minimum system requirements on the back of the game, usually a good sign of what one can play.

Yea but all my old games are packed away and I can't remember them. And anyway a lot of sugestions of games have come up that I don't have and that he might like.

Hi there Ronjay,

Tell your mate to go shopping at Incredible, CNA's and Game/Dion's. They generally sell a stack of those Gold Series Bests Seller games (LIke Diablo 2, SC, Splinter Cell)

All those games should work well with that kind of machine and those games are generally a dime a dozen and because they are gold series they are generally pretty good classics.

Happy gaming!
