Hi guys,

I'm new to pc and pc gaming, so I'm a gaint noob when it comes to building a nice gaming pc. I just cant begin to look what to put in or what each part does or means.

I've come to you guys to please help me. I'm looking to build a gaming pc for R10000 or under if possible and would really appreciate it if you guys could help me. Would it be able to play 1080p?

Thanx guys in advance.

Real noob, old console gamer.

Do you need a monitor and software too or just the box?

Yeah he needs to be specific there and also let us know if he has any existing components he can carry over to a new build.

Once we have all the info we can get on with it.

Yeah guys thanx.

I have about 10K for the box... The monitor and other accessories I have.

Also I do not have any existing part to carry over.

Good luck getting a GFX card at this stage. Are they still in short supply thanks to the mining boom?

If you looking at going brand-new then look at a Ryzen 3 setup. GTX 1060's are in stock at Wootware but pricing is high.

Yeah, also had a Ryzen 3 setup for him in mind (quote I worked out for him via Wootware came to about R10 347) but he'll have to opt then for something like a GTX 1050Ti, unless he wants to / can buy a 2nd hand 1060 somewhere.

I'm sitting on R8735 excluding a cpu. Got a gtx 1060 6gb in the build.

The gpu prices are really screwing with budgets.

Well thats not bad then, could just save a bit for the cpu.

R1900 - Intel® Core i5 6500 ***
R235 - RAIJINTEK RHEA 0R100005
R716 - ASROCK H110M-DVS R3.0
R1028 - Corsair Vengeance LPX, 8GB, DDR4-2666, CL16, Black
R692 - Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB
R5271 - ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 DUAL Edition DUAL-GTX1060-O6G, includes Rocket League Game Code
R547 - Corsair VS CP-9020096, 450w
R499 - Antec GX200 Chassis
R10 888 - TOTAL

*** CPU wise I'm trying to get hold of PotterH to see what he has available and at what price. ideally you want an i7.

Not too long ago you could do the above build with an i7 6700 for R10k
Pick your own case, I dunno what pleases your eye.

Why not chuck in a 7th gen Pentium and 1050Ti and save some cash for games? You can get 1080p60 with some graphic-detail compromises.
