You'll keep waiting and never buy a new PC ;)

And I highly doubt that you'll even notice the move from 3Gbit/s to 6Gbit/s, as most hard drives can't even come close to that with sustained throughput...

By the time the "new technology" is in... it would have already become old technology... unless you have 1000's to spend every few months, you will always be behind

You'll pay more for a motherboard that has DDR3 support, but then you'll pay a lot more for DDR3 modules. I say rather wait before adopting DDR3.

+1. A DDR3 mainboard would cost ~R2000 where the same motherboard with only DDR2 would cost R1400. That's R600 better spent on something else. Such as upgrading the CPU/RAM/ whatever.
Currently DDR3 RAM also costs abour 1.6-2.0x the price of DDR2 and only has about 10-15% increase, if that much, in performance.

Currently you won't really see a performance difference, if you have a broader range of performance components and the FSB of the CPU increases, then you will start seeing a difference.

Again : Look at my first post, it's pretty much the best value for money you can buy ATM.

PS : Why buy the zones pc if almost everything's gonna be replaced?

Well : You get a :
Q9300,
250GB HDD
DVD-RW
and 2GB DDR800 RAM
and Motherboard

Oh, and it's only the case and PSU that get's replaced, and I guess zones charge you something like R250 for the two in that build.
So basically you'll save around R3000-R4000 if you don't buy another HDD.
