Hi there guys, i'm wondering if there is anywhere in SA to get cool gaming/geek themed t-shirts like the ones listed on http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts/gaming/

Shipping on that site is only like R500 so i thought i'd give it a miss

Found one site locally, gaming gear, but they only had like 10 low quality shirts.

Any suggestions?

Your best shot is to design one and have it print. There's a lot of companies that print T-Shirts. Ask mr.Google... he'll tell you the same. lol

Nokoff lol @ ur nick

Dude if you really want to I can produce a proper vector for you which you can take to a shirt printer, only thing is you gotta print a shirt for me too! :)

Here is an example.... http://www.designashirt.co.za/home.html

R150 for your own design short sleeve tshirt, R200 for long sleeve

Your first design is usually expensive because they have to create a plate, this is with Screen printing but it looks the best! I remember a company quoting like R500 for the first shirt then something like R20 or some such for the rest, and price changes vs colours, quantity etc.

Its all about quality though, gotta make sure the shirts are nice and heavy etc.

What a fscking rip-off..

Can do it for half the price and double the quality

Ha ha wonderful well then do it... I do sense a little professional jealousy though as I am not sure how you know what their quality is like by taking a quick peek at the website!

Feel free to start a website offering the same service at half the price and I'll be sure to spread the word. But no more than R75 per single tshirt (not bulk orders)...

You do it with color sublimation and it costs you very little, you get photo quality transfers and I'm willing to bet my left nut it will last much longer than any silkscreen print. The colors get fused to the fibers [snip long boring technical explanation]

Tux cool man, do you know of a company who prints using color sublimation on fabric?

And for the record, it belongs to a friend. I just help him with his PCs but I happened to pick up a lot about it over the years (and I get to make my own t-shirts)

Oh so you didn't check out that site, I thought as much! They offer digital printing, vinyl printing, direct to garment printing, screen printing or embroidery.

Anyway not sure why your knickers got in such a knot. The OP asked where he can get custom t-shirts, I shared a link to a place I had found. He can use it, or not use it. If you can do better then wonderful for you... if 100 people see this post and also want a t-shirt then can they contact you directly too?

Yea noticed Gilden Wholesale shirts, 100 percent cotton, none of that see through PEP store crap. R50 for 10 shirts :O

Nice Tux, how are the shirts quality wise?

Have one that i've been wearing constantly for almost 8 years now :D

As long as it has a high polyester content (75%+ IIRC) then you could choose basically any shirt. If you want cotton you got to go with silk screening

You have issues.. If you need them resolved, allow me to suggest running headfirst into a concrete wall.

I said my piece wrt the OP. If you have a problem with it, send a PM or do the concrete wall therapy as suggested.

So tell us.... where does it show on that website how much they charge for the shirts? And also how much would they charge you for 100% cotton t-shirts of the same quality listed above? I am still very interested in contacting them if they can do it for under R75!

I would also like a promise that if I am not satisfied I will be refunded and a new t-shirt will be made a second time for me for free (as the company in my link does).

Bottom line is don't just sh_t all over someone else's recommendation without checking out all the facts!!
