I should have said during loadshedding. Need that ignition start
Thats not enough power to get that fan to start and kept going during loadshedding

The igniter is powered by D batteries in my gas geyser. There is no mains power to the gas geyser.

In the smaller gas geysers, I think under 18L, the ignitor is a battery.
30L and up needs mainspower.

Are you sure you have a Gas Geyser?
Rinnai infinity 20l. The installer said I need a min 1000w inverter with battery and my enquiry is all about people are using. Also what size battery would be best for this size of inverter?

yes its a forced air fed geyser ,very nice units ,have installed quite a few over the years , there is another thread from around early winter on the same question.probably a barrel fan maybe 100 watts , so a 1000 w inverter ,maybe 8 amps so a 50 amp battery say 3 hours of hot water .forgot , there are specific inverters for these types of units .
