Gay marriage is fine by me. A wedding, with dresses and cake etc, what the ..... <insert your favorite word here> is the point? !!!?

Surely a getting the registrar to sign the paperwork and a party afterward is fine? Why the need to do a full on wedding.

lol fail thread.

obviously Waaib as issues ;),

it has always amused me why some people are stuck up with things that has actually no concern towards them when there are consenting adults involved.

I don't get it but I accept it. I don't see the point in bringing the Christian part into the wedding though since the religion is strictly against gay relationships. But a celebration of a union between ppl is definitely understandable. I don't get 2 men or 2 women being in love but hey who am I to judge. Imagine a gay Muslim wedding? That would be insane and would not make sense. A lot of the time I think its just gay people fighting for equal rights and not about the marriage before God. A marriage in court is totally different though.

Controversial subject - if two people love each other, and decide, together, what they deem important in their relationship, then it is up to them, to make it happen.

If it's crucial, that a large expensive wedding is part of their road to destiny, then so be it.

If they choose to not have a traditional wedding ceremony, but, instead have nudist, Star Wars, theme party at the Palace of the Big Spaghetti Robocop of the Holy Volcano, then again, it is their choice, no matter what the sex of the couple...

I do draw the line at marrying animals, cars and office furniture...

I don't understand why religious people think they should be allowed to get married.

Why does anyone need to do the full on wedding in that case?

I think you have to be careful when you say you don't understand why they have to bring religion into it. Gay people are just as religious as straight people and are allowed to take their vows before God even if we don't agree with it regardless of what the bible says. The bible also states that thou should love thy neighbour.
