Gearbest.com - Any good?

With R/$ looking so good, and a red Mi A1 going for $230 incl. Priority Line, I have 2 fingers on the trigger. Just worried Aramex gives me the run around and spoils the ordering experience.....

Have a look at the Meizu M6 Note, the battery & camera kills the Mi A1. I spent a lot of time doing research before settling on the Meizu, before that I was gonna order a redmi note 4x, 5 plus or mi a1.

Plenty more reviews and comparisons out there. Bit hard to find stock as they are selling like hotcakes, the sony imx 362 sensor with f/1.9 aperture is great.

Can't do without a rear fingerprint sensor as that position works best for me. Also enticed by stock Android on the Mi A1

I'm the same, worried to order because of aramex issues

Why not take the leap, you can do it!.... And I'll see how it goes for you

Different warehouses do ship out at different speeds. I have a feeling that even the China Warehouse ships it to Hong Kong to be sent with Aramex. All packages seem to ship out from HK so that might add up. The issue with different warehouses is that they ship out separately so you are billed shipping twice. For smaller items like covers and screen protectors, PM me and I will add it to one of my orders. Does save you a bit.

Aramex does seem to be a little slow on clearance but I am more happy that there has been no reports of missing packages of recent.

Will you be willing to assist me with the help of your Aramex contact if the package sits at customs for over a week?
 
Ok package is in Johannesburg. Customs status updated, whatever that means.

EDIT: Not in the country yet, DHL wanted to know the contents, my id# & email address.

I am willing to assist anybody with any packages that are delayed at GearBest and with Aramex. DHL, I don't currently have anybody unfortunately.

Even if anybody is having issues with Aramex (over 4 days at customs) and the package is not from GearBest, PM me the tracking number and I will try get feedback.

I have ordered many times using Gearbest\Aramex without any issues.
This time however, my order seems to be stuck at Aramex customs clearing, been there for 5 days and counting now.

Sent a PM to GearBestZA, will see how it goes.
 
Just placed an order for a red Xiaomi Mi A1 64GB. May only ship out in early FEB though.......

VERY excited!
 
Shipment has been given a release by Customs.

That was quick, dhl sent an invoice for R265 which I paid on their portal and less than an hour later I get the above message.

PS I noticed Tinydeal underdeclared the value which I did not request, something to keep in mind.

Rather than paying around R200 for Aramex shipping, you rather take the earphones and get free shipping.
