Dear Ismael,

We contacted with our manufacturer and sent your video to them.

Does the item work except for the loose screws?

Please try to find that whether there are some loose screws, and tighten them.

Hi All, I wanted to list my experience with Gearbest.

I purchased the Xaiomi Mi 6 International Version mobile phone from Gearbest and I added in a case and screen protector and chose the Priority Line Shipping (Aramex). My item just cleared customs and should be delivered tomorrow.
Here are the details for those interested:

Date of Purchase:------------------29 October 2017
Date Item Received:---------------10 November 2017 (12 days)
Item Price:--------------------------$427.44
Delivery Price:----------------------$11.66
Total from Gearbest:---------------$439.10
Rand Conversion using Paypal:----R6,472.42
Customs Charges:------------------R324.07
Total in Rands:----------------------R6,796.49
Price of phone locally:--------------R9,399.00 (https://miphones.co.za/products/mi6?variant=36612250064)
Total Saved:---------------------R2,602.51 (approx. 27.6%)

I would like to thank GearBestZA for his assistence in helping me set my shipping address so as to ensure the item was sent as soon as possible. He also gave me a rough indication of the expected customs duties which ended up being lower than the approximated R500.

My only gripe thus far was with Aramex, their online tracking system on the site and app froze for 3 days showing my item in Dubai while it was actually at customs in JHB, I had to call them a few times to push the customs clearance process along and get the invoice sent to me. This took 3 days which was annoying but was eventually sorted out.

All in all the process of ordering to shipping was very simple.
Just a note that Gearbest requested identification documentation from me just after i placed the order so as to validate my paypal account belonging to me. Only after this was given to them did they process the order so this added in another day delay overall but was a very simple upload to make.

I hope this helps those out there wanting to buy online. I am considering setting up an importers account with SARS as I believe there is a limit to goods you can import without one. It is free and the forms and process are available on the SARS site. I will create a separate thread to track this for those interested

Thanks for the info, aramex isn't the fastest but for the price not bad.

Please do start a thread about getting an importers account thing and post a link here, I'm also interested in getting one.

I am happy that your order has been sorted out. Awesome about the new thread and I will also input on what is required. Regarding Aramex, they are a bit delayed at the moment. Driving me crazy as well, but their clearance fee and the price to SA is worth it. Just have to keep calling them and pushing them for clearance.

It is weird why they would ask you to validate your Paypal as it is not common unless your country does not show SA or your email address is different. They do sometimes ask for some more information but you can also submit your Name and address on a utility bill just to confirm it is you.

Where is Aramex shipping for $9? All is see is this on the mi6 from China warehouse?

Priority Line / Middle east express is Aramex shipping. Not sure why they name it that on their site but that is the correct service to use. The shipping according to screen shot below is $7.76.
Thanks! That is really cheap.. I've been using dhl

Please PM me your order number. I can then follow up to see the status of your order and where it is. If it has been shipped, then they should have given the tracking number which can be used to track the parcel.

Whoohoooo 1st Gearbest order delivered today, smooth smooth silky smooth had to pay customs R250 but delivered on the tenth day as prophetised lol, no pain, no hiccups just bliss..

Except that of course they just yesterday announced an upgrade of the one spycams I bought.

Now I'll have to order again..

Does Gearbest consolidate orders into one parcel, if you order 5 different items in one order will they all get sent together?

They are like Amazon, some things are fulfilled by Gearbest others via 3rs parties?

If I remember correctly in the past a single order got split into 3 parcels, that was not the end of the world beforehand but this new R24 per parcel fee at the Post office isn't great in that regard.

What is the cheapest shipping that bypasses the Post Office?

Hi,

Since SA's selection of laptops is so bad, I think I might be using gearbest soon. What is the best shipping option? Priority line?

How long can I expect to wait with Priority line?

If you are willing to wait forever (and I am still waiting) and be satisfied with no customer experience (only automated mails), then use them.

But I will definitely not recommend...

I ordered 11 items. Shipped 7 Nov and arrived at my door yesterday. No customs duties or anything.
Very chuffed.
That's amazing, what shipping type/service did you select?
What value were they items, how customs forget to charge duties?
Did they send all 11 items in one package and were they all similar type of items?

Shipping service was Aramex priority mail.
Shipping cost was $15.

Value of order (less shipping) was $27
Mix of stuff. HDMI adapters, vape cotton, cable organizers, USB chargers, air vent cell mount for car, etc..
All items in one package.

10 items in total. Not 11 as indicated. Had to remove a powerbank which I forgot about.

So i need some advice,
ordered a fitness watch for the 94.7 race on sunday, i ordered it on the 26th of October with aramax shipping, and gearbest only sent it on the 5th of October with normal shipping.
I am no longer interested in the watch, what is the best way to get a refund?
i logged a call with paypal already.
and btw, i still can not track the order with the reference number i was given.
