Question of the Day: How do you normally pay for purchases in stores?

I had the exact same issue from the start. First ordered a phone on presale and will only be stocked in a month of that which they got stock of a week later .
Then shipping took Another 2 weeks and I get an email saying that they are shipping via normal post without any form of tracking to which I was infuriated . With little that I could do because I paid via normal credit card I fought to get my shipping fees refunded . At least they did that right. R70 bucks saving . So today finally my phone reached the ZA processing center . Hopefully should come in about two weeks . Yea so from my experience I ordered and paid in September and only getting the phone hopefully undamaged next year .
I won't say it was a completely unpleasant experience because fast shipping would have really made it fantastic . This is just akin to another aliexpress purchase which is a good deal with a huge delay in receiving what u pay for with a chance it can arrive damaged , incorrect or not at all.
Hopefully the customs God's will hear my prayers and let my parcel pass through the gates for Christmas with nigh monetary sacrifice.

How does the whole customs thing work, will the Courier receive money from me to pay customs or must I go physically to customs wherever it may be. Essentially all I'm asking is if will I have to put in the effort and do something rather than waiting for my parcel that I payed for. Like ordering a pizza for example .

If it's aramex they'll send you an invoice to pay for the customs and you can pay that online.
Recently bought a watch from Geekbuying with free shipping.
Ordered 28/09, collected from Post office on 02/12. Paid R55 customs at the Post Office.
Took over a month to move from JHB to CPT.

Got another message from gearbest saying that zip code is not correct becoming a bit tiresome now.

After correcting my postal code ,
Package status stuck at "processing" with Aramex since the 21 Dec.
What a load of BS!
There is no such product listed on the site, if there was I would order it, sigh...
I mean surely if you make claims at least provide some links etc, just don't BS your clients. What type of image are you trying to project here?
I'm not being difficult here but would really love to buy a 3GB/32GB Meizu M6 Note, take my money!

Mine has finally shipped out from Gearbest and sitting in processing at Aramex so in the same boat. ordered a Roku express a week after from Amazon which is going to be delivered around the 9th Jan.

So got my refund. Paid R728 got back R628 (all the fees plus the currency improvement ) ... R100 school fees

For those of you who are having issues with the zip code, just make sure to demand that they ship your package via Aramex if you have paid for it.
Because I ordered a phone from them and after waiting for 17 days for shipment while confirming my zip code multiple times,they ended up shipping my phone via Singapore Post. Even though my previous package was sent via Aramex and I told them to use the same address.
They even said that they are not going to refund the shipping fee.
So be careful when dealing with them.

After numerous times being told post code wasn't right I changed it to 2000 and eventually shipped out.

So this is the difference between using 2000 and 2001 as your zip code. I suspect why GearBest keep saying your zip code is wrong if you put city as Johannesburg.
