The main purpose of this category car is city driving. So going from jhb to Pretoria and back a couple of times a week etc. Perfect. Going to kroonstad and back everyday, then this is not for you. But looking at the numbers you would easily hit 240km highway driving at 130km/h

Interesting and assume they wanted 7 year term in exchange for the best rate? I had the luxury of a paid up access bond to purchase my car. All extra money goes in here asap to reduce interest since its calculated daily. Just make sure you stick to the extra 25k in your case to make sure you are actually getting benefit.

At high speeds the battery would also be under constant heavy load and may start overheating if it's running at near it’s max rated drain current. That's also not great for long term battery health/life as it wears the battery quite heavily of it’s for extended periods.
 
We have the E2 apex for a while.

FYI : Max speed is limited to 140kmh (on the clock) . Above that the car noticeably stops accelerating. So it's limited such.

Long distance on the highway at 130 kmh, you can expect around 25 to 30% less than the 325km quoted range. So around 230km.

Lovely drive, great car .
Power is more than sufficient. City driving is great.
Overall a great buy , far better a car than the chery tiggo 4 pro it replaced.

Cons
Lane assist etc warnings are a bit over board, but not a major problem.

Aircon is not automatic climate control, you set the temperature and fan speed on the screen and it doesn't automatically lower the fan based on the temperature etc.

To be fair even if I had a spare wheel I would always default to using tire inflation products like Tyreweld rather than the spare to minimise time spent stranded and exposed, then go to a tyre shop and have the puncture professionally attended to, the spare tire is only if there's an outright tire loss from road debris or similar which is an extremely rare situation but it can happen.

The potholes here in Joburg tend to rip the tyres, inflation products are useless.

I recently ended up with two ripped tyres from a pothole, had to grab an Uber and take one of the wheels to TWT.

But TWT's opening hours are limited.

With my old Landrover I always have two spares.
