Hi Guys

I have a XFX Geforce 8800GT Extreme and would just like 2 know whats the normal operating temperature of the card and whats dangerous temperature?

Mine hit 100 degrees last night but we had high humidity could be a factor

Thanx

an idle GPU temperature of 61c and a full load GPU temperature of 91c

very possible with the added humidity of KZN .... maybe have a desk fan on standby when playing games on the hot days .... coz I don't think sustained 100 degrees is a good thing.

Thanx guys

It rarely hits 100c just last night normally with fan speed at 55% its around 85c.

ok, well, then on hot nights trun the fan speed to 70% or even 80%... you don't wanna burn out the ram (when you start getting lag and artifacts on the screen, turn the fan up!!!)

I have the 8800GT and mine Idles at around 52 and about 70 under load....100 is way high...You may need to put on a after market cooler, or get a better case which may help.

I have the same card, having replaced the stock fan+cooler with a Zalman VF900-Cu. Even at full speed, the VF900 is almost inaudible and keeps my gpu around 55degC.
