General coffee thread

The erm... what?
Remember, I grew up on KoffieHuis.

But will it give me that "me and my coffee" moment when I drink it?

You sound like BF. He is taking the coffee machine on holiday this week and he has taken it camping too.

I need a new coffee. Nescafe is expensive! R75 for Alta Rica.
But the only option from here on is to get a percolator
Or a Moka pot, they dont cost much more than a jar of Alta Rica.
A little more effort is needed, but with the right coffee, its worth it.
I used to make a brew in the morning, then have enough for the whole day, for some reason the coffee doesn't go stale very quickly.
Just zap 100mls in the microwave, pour a little boiling water in, milk - tastes better than any filter coffee.

I hate French pressed coffee. It's not filtered properly...
The only exception to that is when we drink Greek Coffee at Cafe 41

aaaa godness; i must say douwe egberts filter blend (3) just awesome.

Beware Jacobs Kronung drinkers - i spied some today at P&P - price now R98
Been collecting R69 specials for while so have a little stock:) - R98:cry:

Don't remember trying that one, will give it try...long as its not mild i'll try any

It's pretty good. Knocks Nescafe Classic for only R15 or so more. Competes with the Jacobs I've had.

No coffee/espresso machine / grinder? :D

Only grinder & plunger which i use now & again - I keep drooling at the Jura F50 but common sense keeps getting in the way of the price tag
