general website/vpn enquiry

Hi guys,
I host a website for a business.
Strange issue, and uncertain if this is the right place for it
When i visit the website without a VPN it says "error, page took too long to respond" / "site took too long to respond" etc..
but when i switch on the VPN (nordvpn), i can access it fine.
It's hosted with HostGator
1. I've cleared cache on all browsers (edge / chrome / firefox)

It sounds to me like the firewall running on the server that hosts your site has blocked your IP

Yeah I would guess the same. Try browsing to the site from your cellphone not on the same wireless network.
