This is obvious garbage. There's been an insane amount of footage already showing cops assaulting and beating protesters, journalists and bystanders, including shooting at them from very far away. But yeah, totally not an authoritarian problem.

You kind of remind me of the one Antifa guy and his buddies blocking a car, wanting to destroy it and the owner putting down his foot, bumping one aside. The Antifa oke is extremely verbal accusing the cops of letting the driver get away and not yield to them. Then he goes on to cussing the cops for not reacting. WTF? The only thing he left out was attack by wiper. after the one Antifa spread-eagled himself across the windscreen.

There is nothing wrong with protesting. But violent protests as qualified, is not on. Anybody that thinks it is needs a ticket to the front lines of Antifa in the USA against the National Guard. I'll sponsor some bricks for you as a sign of goodwill ...

I was watching an Aussie newscaster today in the thick of it, a tad more balanced. She was a wee petite blondie. A big black dude asserted himself to the bodyguard role for the film crew. Some other people of all colours doing their peaceful protest thing. Cops there trying to do there thing. All good folk. Then a certain crowd moves in, not the same caliber. Even the reporter comments on the new group, the old group leaving.

If you are a "community leader" and your community is engaged in acts of terror then congrats , you are a terrorist leader.

edit - oh and now that you are a terrorist leader , if that one guy(senator?) calling for drone strikes gets his way , you are going to have problems.

Officers can take cash and property from people without convicting or even charging them with a crime — yes, really! — through the highly controversial practice known as civil asset forfeiture. Last year, according to the Institute for Justice, the Treasury and Justice departments deposited more than $5 billion into their respective asset forfeiture funds. That same year, the FBI reports that burglary losses topped out at $3.5 billion.

But there’s a big difference: Nixon was the challenger pitching himself as an antidote to an administration that struggled to handle chaos; now Trump is the president struggling to handle the chaos.

A president who pitched himself as a wrecking ball to the system has delivered, leaving voters to decide if they want to continue down that road or elect a former vice president with a more traditional message of unity and summoning common purpose.
