I am not advocating people be shot. You keep doing this thing where you twist everyone's argument. Riot police use riot control methodologies. Water. Tear gas. Rubber bullets. Any reasonable person (i.e. a person without criminal intent) would leave the area if it turns into a riot.

90% of people lose all reason when part of a crowd and if you add the Mandatory face masks and the perceived anonymity it gives its wearers it's just more fuel to the fire

Four policemen were fired for the killing murder of George Floyd.

Only one policeman was arrested and charged after the public protest.

Why were the other three fired? - they were fired for their involvement in the killing of George Floyd, so why haven't they been arrested and charged?

There's plenty of news sources for you to find that info, even Faux News.

I get why they started protesting, what I mean is what do they want exactly? At the beginning they wanted Derek Chauvin to be charged which he was.

I guess what I wanna know is do they have some kind of list of demands?

So they want all the officers to be arrested? Like I said above I have not seen or heard anyone make any kind of specific demands.

Cool thanks.

They should expand that list to other officers who were part of murdering people in the past. So many of them still employed in the US. They just move them to a different police department in another state. It's ridiculous...

Trump did a lot more than 'rebuke' him. Said they should be fired and kicked out of the country.

I mean, we all saw how they reacted to that peaceful protest - especially telling in light of people pretending they totally support the peaceful protesters now and not the rioters/looters.

Firstly the arrests don't mean anything unless charges stick. Historically speaking, cops get away with this. A lot are even hired back.

The movement is asking for something to be done about the killings of black men in America. It's a fundamentally structural problem that can't be solved overight but the people are asking for more leadership and oversight - none of which Trump is providing.

I guess what I'm trying to say is it isn't immediately clear what they want besides general change. That website is excellent but I haven't seen it being promoted during the protest (though I admit I haven't watched it every day).

That's what I've gathered as well from the protests, basically saying "something must be done to stop police brutality against black people and in general"

Problem is the government can't just say "ok, we've stopped doing that now you can all go back home." and Trump has no clue what to do so basically the protests have no foreseeable end in sight.
I fear that as a result they will loose traction much like the Occupy Wall Street protests.

They should define their demands more precisely, publicize a list of all the specific actions they want the government to take, much like Hong Kong's "Five demands, not one less" campaign.

Basically lay out exactly what the government must do in order for their objectives to be met and the protests to end.

Problem is also that he isn't simply not doing anything about the problem, he's actively made it worse.

There's quite a bit of evidence that things improved under Obama, but Trump and his AGs reversed this.

It isn't particularly difficult to find this information, though, and it's a consistent theme across the protests, and has been for years. Talk to or follow any activist involved and they'll provide it. They've been screaming it from the rooftops for years.

Bit silly to pretend it's some ineffable mystery.

That's not really an accurate description of the video. The hysterical lady pointed the cops toward the business owners, which prompted the officers to temporarily restrain them, they didn't actually arrest them. And they did chase after the looters as well, who were also black.

I just give up. If you cannot see that rioters rioting do not trump everyone else's rights (which is what you are essentially calling for because you are afraid of by standers getting hurt), and you don't agree with controlling measures, then the right to assembly cannot be upheld. You understand that rioters use innocent public members to shield them too, right?

When do you escalate then, buka? People are dying. Buildings are being set alight with people INSIDE of them. Personal property is being destroyed. EMS is being prevented from entering areas. Mass looting is taking place. So, tell us when it's acceptable to enforce the law?

Well Buka did pretty much admit that he is unable to tell the peaceful protesters from the rioters.

He just doesn't understand not everyone has this same problem.
