George Floyd death

So basically looks like two people with less than ideal backgrounds met and the one killed (possibly here Greg)the other.
So race was not a deciding factor but rather the quality of the person.

"looks like" doing the work in this post Peggie. Well done.

No that's how you kill someone. On purpose is another matter.
For instance, he might have been distracted by a hobo dancing on the side of the road and didn't realize how long he had his leg there. There are a million and one ways to introduce doubt into the scenario and prevent a conviction of first-degree murder. Will need to world's worst lawyer to get anything more than 3rd degree.
He will go down in a civil case , that's almost guaranteed , I doubt the criminal trial would give justice.

Lying would make it more honest ? Strange.
I'm just bringing more info in here , it may or may not be accurate but only time will tell.

Uncertain things are... uncertain. You know, the opposite of certain. Like the certainty you ascribe to... uncertain things.

How are you so bad at this?

Oh fck off! Deadly police brutality by white policemen against black men in America is well documented. Do you need a list of previous victims? Not that you'd care. Stop being obtuse.

I don't want to get involved in the argument here, but do want to express disgust at this sort of thing, as a theme, which seems to happen far too often.

The police in the states are supposed to be well trained. Why do they keep killing people "by mistake" when apprehended for relatively minor offences? Even if the guy threw a few punches, that does not entitle the cop to cause his death once he gets the guy under control.

I know the police have to face a lot of violence every day, and are often on the other side of this equation, being shot etc as they walk up to some guy to ask a question etc - so I know they have to take precautions and be ready to defend themselves at the drop of a hat. Doing that day in day out must make you perhaps a but trigger happy - but they are supposed to well trained professionals!

But once you have the guy under control you cannot then apply deadly force when he is helpless.

From what I understand here, the guy acted aggressively (what ever that means) when being questioned, which ended with cop kneeling on his neck for an extended period - resulting in the guy's death. If that is the case I think the cop should be charged with culpable homicide at the least! I would even say there is a case for murder - because that sort of restraint is not applied by accident - it was deliberate. And a trained guy would know that it can lead to serious injury - there are a huge number of nerves and blood vessels etc that run through your neck, especially the back of the neck, disrupting those for an extended period is potentially malicious IMO.

Go on Greg , read and understand .
Let go of your crusade you declared against me.

As stated earlier , stats might show you a different picture .
Race doesn't play a part unless you got footage or a written statement saying he killed him because of his race.

abzo was being sarcastic.

As for the rest of your post... we agree 100%.

That's you *and* rietrot today, and I can't even have a drink 'till Monday.

LOL Yeah just had to check. SoldierMan was in a serious mood at the time :p

Greg , the stats would paint a different picture .
Your comparisons are junk status , do stop derailing now .
Guy died , cop in trouble , city being razed.

Just saying the whole thing shouldnt be race baited to hell and back.

It's frightening how warped the reality for fellas that use twitter as their primary data source on the world has become. You've posted the stats - I'd like to see zmme's' reaction especially after the outburst he had. Any chance he will reconcile the stats with the incompatible reality he's constructed?

Place your bets, place your bets over here.

I get the anger but now they have destroyed any moral high ground they had, it's such a pity, but it's also because nothing happens to these policeman.

its not an issue of moral high ground, its an issue about justice, which is clearly lacking

Destroying random shops is justice?

killing a guy for no real justified reason is not justice, where is the killer? walking around while a man is dead for no real reason

I think America must see that riots do not develop out of thin air. Certain conditions continue to exist in our society which must be condemned as vigorously as we condemn riots. But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the Negro poor has worsened over the last few years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice, equality, and humanity. And so in a real sense our nation’s summers of riots are caused by our nation’s winters of delay. And as long as America postpones justice, we stand in the position of having these recurrences of violence and riots over and over again. Social justice and progress are the absolute guarantors of riot prevention.

that was said over 40 years ago...

Nobody else will touch it , its crazy to think even with evidence the sjw will still cry out for its own brand of crooked justice and try race bait issues.
