There is a difference between not agreeing with the need to protest and saying that said protest is going to destroy American society..

It's still better than it was in the 40's where almost all cops were corrupt. But then again neither of us actually live over there, you forget how they have no idea of the kind of corrupt many of our cops are. No one is a expert on the cops of another country.

I don't buy this sort of reasoning that has been going around the last few days.

The default position is that "All lives matter". For someone to go and specifically single out black lives and say "Black lives matter" is leaning towards being racist.

Instead people who are now saying "All lives matter" are being called racist. However what they are saying is not a response. It is the default unsaid position. The "Black lives matter" slogan is actually the one that has no need or place to be said.

Activists are already picketing in Cape Town at Parliament. They are stating white silence as violence in regard to deaths caused by the police and the SANDF during the lockdown.

The one where you don't want to accept that whatever the reason US blacks are more prone to physical violence than US whites? Yes there are still areas where the whites are barbarians too but but that does not change the over overall picture.

That's true for some(very few) extreme far leftist. But for most it is just mob mentality and emotional reasoning. I have commented on this in the Trump thread, but it appears that theres a hard limit on human emotion. Someone can only be realy upset and outraged at one thing at a time.

And if you engage in this type of emotionally driven outraged culture, the previous "issue" can easily contradict the new more important "issue"
 
The funny thing is, if this virus is as bad as it's made out to be.... it's gonna potentially kill a lot of crazy left wingers and the deranged left over fools will find a way to blaim trump instead of the mob that refused to social distance.

I never said that. You're grasping at straws now. Read to understand, don't read to respond. I have no idea whether that is true or not, it might even be. I'm saying I was expecting more debate around how the figures that you derive your above point from seem to be fudged.
