George Floyd death

I get 0.00001% or 14/1000000 (per capita)

I'm trying to find a silly example of just how dangerous this is. Everything else including major illnesses have a much higher rate.

Heart disease is 1260/1000000
SA murder rate is around 350/1000000
And that is with the assumption that every single Black person killed is innocent. The real rate must be ridiculously low, given that it's maybe 1 or 2 innocents. The BLM narrative is boloney.

I like how if they’re not innocent then it’s fine that they’re killed.
If a person tries to shoot police, hell yeah it's fine by me if they get killed in the ensuing scuffle. They proved they are a danger to society and won't abide by its laws.

A different conversation, should the police overall have more tact for those that do comply - sure thing. But this is not what the BLM groupies are advocating for. They want black hooligans to run wild with no consequences.

Most of those that resist arrest and get shot for it already have some kind of criminal record and do so because they are in the wrong and know they'll go back to jail.

The police can do with some better training, but most of the shootings can certainly be justified.

The very small amount were the police is actually in the wrong is obviously wrong and in those individual cases the police should face justice.

There is nowhere near the systemic problem that the BLM crowd like to pretend there is. Pushing that narrative actually just makes things worse.

A person with a criminal background or guilty of a crime is more likely to find themselves in a situation with officers where things go pear-shaped. A guy that spent some time in jail or has a history of priors doesn't ''accidentally'' find himself in a heated situation.

If you are the type of person that always seems to get in to a fight when you go out, chances are its not the other people having a problem, its you. Sure the other guy on a specific night can be the *******, but we've got a history here of you getting in to these situations.

This isn't a statement that US policing is fine because they clearly have issues, but you also have to look at the people themselves. I've watched a ton of these bodycam videos and sometimes you have to ask yourself, ''what the fvck were they thinking?''

The narrative that police are brutalizing all black people is completely manufactured and false. Look at the police shootings over the last 10 years. An innocent black man is as likely to be killed by a lightning strike as by police shooting. 235 black people shot in total, which consist mostly of criminal thugs.

Stop being a sheep - twitter is not a reliable source of information.

twitter is only good for porn, as for the rest...we not on the same frequency...

It's not a negotiation - it's not my interpretation. These are the facts. When police in America kills a person, it's recorded.

The stats don't agree with the fiction that's been narrated by BLM.

Why are there no BLM protests in Chicago or Detroit over gang violence , gangs kill each other so much there that it skews the US stats and is used by Democrats to call for snubbing gun rights of Americans.(obviously they do not say it's gang shootings , they just lump it in with other stats and say "guns are bad , ban guns")

Senior State Department Official Resigns Over Trump’s Response To Racial Injustice
Mary Elizabeth Taylor, one of the highest-ranking Black officials in the administration, said Trump’s actions “cut sharply against my core values.”

Mary Elizabeth Taylor, one of the highest-ranking African American officials in the Trump administration, resigned on Thursday over President Donald Trump’s response to racial tensions across the nation, The Washington Post reported.
Taylor, 30, was the youngest person and first Black woman to serve as assistant secretary of state for legislative affairs in the State Department.

In her resignation letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, obtained by the Post, Taylor said the president’s “comments and actions surrounding racial injustice and Black Americans” had “cut sharply against my core values and convictions.”

“Moments of upheaval can change you, shift the trajectory of your life, and mold your character,” wrote Taylor, who has served with the Trump administration since its first day in January 2017. “I must follow the dictates of my conscience and resign as Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs.”

Trump has come under scrutiny for his response to anti-racism protests across the country since the police killing last month of George Floyd, a Black Minneapolis man.

As protesters took to the streets in Minneapolis, Trump called demonstrators “thugs” and tweeted that “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.”
He was later skewered for ordering police to clear protesters with tear gas and rubber bullets so he could walk to the front of a Washington, D.C., church for a photo-op; and on Wednesday, he told The Wall Street Journal that he’d made Juneteenth, the day celebrating the end of slavery in America, “very famous” after his controversial decision to hold a campaign rally that day in Tulsa, Oklahoma ― where a racist massacre took place in 1921. Trump has since postponed the rally by one day.

This African-american is so ungrateful. She was put in a position of power by German-american president and what a let down she has been.

Pennsylvania police officer fired for 'racist and derogatory' email about Black people, journalists and politicians

A longtime Pennsylvania police officer was fired Thursday after sending a "racist and derogatory" email to the mayor and local news reporters.

Erie Mayor Joe Schember announced the firing of 62-year-old Sgt. Jeff Annunziata at a press conference, alongside Police Chief Dan Spizarny. In his email, Annunziata said Black people seeking social justice “cannot take care of their own or anyone else without playing the race card.” He also defended his profession and criticized journalists.

“Sgt. Jeff Annunziata sent an email to members of the media containing racist and derogatory statements,” Schember said. “I condemn these statements. I am appalled and disgusted by the racial insensitivity of this email.”

The Erie Times-News of the USA TODAY Network first reported the contents of Annunziata's email about six hours before Schember’s announcement.

Spizarny said he immediately suspended Annunziata after an internal affairs investigation found he had sent the email from his city account and identified himself as a police officer.

“I speak for the command staff when I say that we are all sickened by the language of Mr. Annunziata,” Spizarny said.

The city’s solicitor, Ed Betza, said Annunziata was not working when he sent the email, adding the union representing city police, Erie Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 7, has 10 days to challenge Annunziata’s termination.

We found 85,000 cops who've been investigated for misconduct:Now you can read their records.

“It’s their legal right to do so,” Betza said.

Annunziata, the chief traffic investigator for Erie police and a 34-year veteran of the police bureau, earned an annual base pay of $103,631, according to city records.

He sent his email shortly before 7 p.m. Monday, the same day Schember had announced that another Erie police officer who kicked a seated protester would receive three days unpaid suspension and be required to undergo sensitivity training.

In his email, Annunziata also claimed that citizens “do not understand compliance;” asserted that most police officers try to avoid confrontation; suggested without evidence that the Clinton Foundation and billionaire George Soros are funding Black Lives Matter and antifa; and mentioned that Erie officer Richard Burchick was shot and killed in 1991 by a Black man.

You have highlighted a very important identity flaw at the root of these issues.

Many white Americans consider themselves just American, they don't feel the need to prefix it with anything.

I doubt that this decision has anything to do with her core values, else she would have left before now.

I've seen Irish-American, Italian-American, Iranian-American, etc.
I believe Italians & Irish upgraded themselves a while ago. Only here in SA, we have one who has a dark father.

Yip - and original inhabitants are native americans but only true americans are the high IQ ones. /shrugs
