isn't it amazing? it just falls short of doing everything, but my nokia don't have it. This geotagging does seem like a handy feature

Problem is no phone will have all the features that each specific person needs/thinks are handy.

Yea its a nice feature , but how many people would buy the phone for this , and does it cost to use the GPS the whole time..

GPS Hammers your battery, but there is no cost to use it, It is just triangulating satellite broadcast signals (very, very basic description) and so it is not downloading or uploading as such and not using any network capacity.

I'm thinking of getting something like this keychain gps so I can geotag my photos. Not sure exactly which model yet though.

Actually, Nokia are going to put GPS geotagging in all their future phones. You can already have it by downloadin Nokia Geotagger from their BETA labs. It works well.

Geotagging has been possible on all Nokia phones with GPS for a while now (via software from Nokia Beta Labs).

I recently upgraded the firmware on my N82 and it now has geotagging built into the camera interface.

Like all mobile developments this is just another case of "Nokia did it first".

The Nokia N95 has this, and it's hardly new. As for whether people would use it-I do Combined with Shozu, getting geotagged photos onto Flickr (which has a yahoo maps view of your photo distribution) is seamless.

first phones became smaller and now its getting bigger...I dont see the significance with geotagging....I probably will not use this feature

thats to say it takes more than 5min for my nokia to get a satellite lock, o and you have to have access to sky to see a satellite (inside office is a no no)
