Getting Africa online

hmm, wonder what will be the next excuse (sorry, reason) for high prices.

International capacity has been carrying the blame all along, how suddenly is there excess capacity which means lower prices (selectively from telscum).

BMI-T analyst Brian Neilson says the dramatic drop in international connectivity prices already announced by Seacom - one-twentieth of current pricing - should have a dramatic effect when the cable system becomes operational mid-2009.

Imagine data prices going from R2.00 to R0.10 per MB [no bundle] and bundle costs going down to R0.01 to R0.02 per MB:eek:

:D

I see somebody drank telkom's bongwater again

the rest of Africa is even ahead of us.
