Hey everyone, anyone have Gunnar's and what is your review/opinion on them? I'm looking at the Crystal-Z range as they look far more natural than the original yellow tint range. Oh and read they coming out with contact lenses soon, so would you also get them in contact or eyeglasses form?

Thx :)

I won a pair ... :D
My wife opened my prezzy ...
I have not seen it yet and will only in a couple of days ... :(
And I bet dollars to doughnuts I will not be the owner ...

She has tried them on already and said it makes the screen seem a lot crisper. She also mentioned that her eyes immediately seemed very relaxed, but I reckon it has to do with the ops she had before in her eyes. So for her, it seems to be a winner already.

2 people have won them here.

Indeed! I was one of those lucky 2.

I received a pair of the "Wi-Five Espresso" with the yellow-tint lenses.

They really have made a world of difference. I no longer have tired and weepy eyes at the end of the day... and staring at bright screens at night is no problem either. The yellow tint took a little getting used to but I do not notice it at all now. Perhaps the clear / crystaline lenses are preferable for non-gamers, as the yellow tint make graphics work a little tricky. The lenses also have a slight magnification to them, and I have come to appreciate this on a laptop screen.

The only negatives are these are a little bit narrow and the nose-rest things not too comfortable... but I willingly trade this minor discomfort for the benefits they bring.

I am probably going to get a clear pair soon, and see if they have any with a different nose-bridge design.

I have my eye on these...

I cannot imagine working without them now.

I struggle with eye strain from laptop, computers, ipads and TV.

The reviews on these products seem good.

If it is a eye strain issue from using the pc at night, try this program.

I find my eyes dont strain at night when using my laptop if I keep the main light off and a side light on or no lights at all, if I put either on my eyes feel like when I have just woken up in the morning.

I do the same at work since I hate the glow of the office light which makes my eyes strain, I prefer the natural light.

Also works for watching TV at night

p.s if you have a laptop or monitors you can turn the brightness down which may help and never use a PC/Laptop when sick tends to make your eyes strain way more.

I would wholeheartedly suggest getting a pair of Gunnars. I work in front of a PC 9 to 10 hours a day, followed by heavy gaming in the evenings and they are always on. I don't even mind the schlep of putting contacts in (i wear glasses) just so I can use the Gunnars.

My eyes take far less strain than previously and are less itchy/annoyed at the end of a long day.

As for the visuals you get used to the slight tint very quickly, and things do seem sharper/crisper.

What pair do you own?

I've been using a pair of Gunnars for a couple of months now. Both at work and at home. I'm a programmer so I'm in front of the computer all the time. It has made the world of difference. I can recommend them to anyone who stares at computer screens.

They take a while to get used to. Oh and another nice thing is that they are designed with the side bits being very thin so they work really well with headphones.

Thanks to everyone for their input, congrats again to OGroteKoning & kilobits, lucky buggers:D, I'm also on the pc for work around 12 hours a day at times, sometimes 7 days a week and I needed something a little extra to help with the dry eyes feeling and pounding headaches from computer monitors.

@Hemps, Simplicity Online has the range in stock

@kilobits yes those clear ones are the Crystalline (which i referred to as the Crystal-Z) range, and come in different frames too, your review broke down everything the way I wanted, very clear, and you also stuck to the actual frame comfort which is a plus, Thx again.

They seem to be targeted more at designers (I suppose more static imagery on the screen) than hardcore gaming, which fit my life a bit better. The Amber/Yellow tint seem to be the range for the hardcore guys, if anyone wants to read more you can visit their website, www.gunnars.com or simplicity online and get a far more detailed Spec. The Sheadog's it is! Thx
