You know when you are young?

And you swear to yourself that you will always love playing games and that these old fogeys who don't like playing games must surely be at death's door?

It is very likely this is going to happen to you.

It's happened to me and I really want to play Dragon Age.

Yeah i'm 23 and I get bored of most games after 10 mins, even less sometimes. Multiplayer is a different story, only thing that keeps me interested is MW2 MP and BC2 MP.

Had to force myself to play Dragon Age, even though it only lasted for 2 hours until I stopped playing.

*Waiting for Lycanthrope to tell me how I was obviously never a 'real gamer'*:p

No need to wait for him, I'll tell you that for free!!!

At least twice your age and all I play are FPS's. Strategy games, etc bores me. Skiet, skop en donner to alleviate work stress!

:p

You called? :D

Oh, I don't think it's anything like that. I think that there are just games that are aimed more to, for lack of a better description, the "hardcore" market. Much like not everyone who reads might pick up something heavy and would rather settle for oh, I dunno... Mills & Boon :)

Have you tried Bejewelled? :D

Dragon Age is much more simplistic than Baldur's Gate, Planescape and the like were and is significantly more "automated."

Methinks that you've slipped into the frenetic mindset of the hack-and-slash shooty-bang-bang genre and hell, that's fine too. You'll never be welcome in my home, you filthy deranged maniac, but I can appreciate your rights :D

Maybe its because you have other responsibilities? like when you quit smoking. the first few weeks or months you struggle to cope. But after awhile you get use to it, although you still miss it. Gaming is almost the same. When you're young you have more time to play games. When you're old, you have to work and when you get home, you just to tired to play, but you still want to play.

...or something like that...

Got my wife hooked on that and all those funny little adventure games!!
Whenever I need some peace I fire up her PC and start working on both my and her PC. This pisses her off no end and she will then insist on taking over her PC and will start playing these schitty games.
Objective achieved!

roflmao :D

You should see my mother... She loves Bejewlled, sudoku, Peggle and the like on her PC. Once she starts it's a good few hours until she stops. She recently got herself a Blackberry, needless to say she spends AGES on it :p

If I get home from work and she sees that I'm peed off with something, she fires up my PC and orders me to play Postal 2 for 30 minutes!!!!

And that reminds me of my ex... He'd want to play some totally awesome game that he saw me playing, be at it for a few hours and then he'd screw some major plot-line up and, "Zomg! Travesty! Horror! Oh noes! I don't wanna play any more!" *sigh* Casual gamers :p

hahahaha! I remember years ago I played, uhh, I think its called "commandos behind enemy lines", and I was still very young. I was struggling with this one level for days and when I eventually finished that horrific level, my friend came over. I went to pour us some drinks, and when i walked into my room, my friend was busy playing "commandos".... started a new game... and saved over my save game!

And that reminds me of when my "girlfriend" in grade 7 dropping my StarCraft CD :D It split in two :p

No, ****, carry on, I was just musing to myself.

On a public forum.
