Getting old.

You're getting old when you play Trackmania and you get this message; "Well done you've reached the finish line" :D

YEah I know... the older you get, the more difficult it becomes to play games regularly. Though at the moment, I'm playing KOTOR (steam specials FTW), League of Legends, Titan Quest, Football Manager 2010 and PES 2011.

I played DragonAgeOrigins a bit but it's boring.

Try your hand at BFBC2 or SC2.

I get all nervous when i start a multiplayer game of SC2 for some reason.

I am probably considered to be a 'ballie' in here but I love gaming ... strategy and action (fps). My PC is also known as my second wife in this house :)

:D

I'm an RPG connoisseur myself, but give me a good strategy (StarCraft, Civilisation, Supreme Commander, Settlers) or a good FPS (FEAR, STALKER... my other half is still trying to get me to play Half-Life 2) and I'm sorted. The key element that attracts me to a game is story, others just have simply superb gameplay and immersion. But RPGs, that's where my heart finds itself firmly entrenched.

No one does it like Bioware imo. Fallout 1 & 2 were awesome as well - pity about Black Isle. Haven't played anything too recently apart from Fallout 3 and Oblivion, but they didn't come close to NWN and the original Fallout...

I really hate Oblivion. I have a mountain of reasons :p

Baldur's Gate, Jade Empire, Planescape, Arcanum, Vampire: Masquerade Bloodlines are some others you should give a try :)

The fact that you failed (neglected?) to embolden (can this be said for font? :wtf:) Planescape means that when I become supreme overlord of earth, you'll be first up for being stripped naked and made part of OC's harem. Or would that be seventh's harem? I never know with that one.

Got my wife hooked on that and all those funny little adventure games!!
Whenever I need some peace I fire up her PC and start working on both my and her PC. This pisses her off no end and she will then insist on taking over her PC and will start playing these schitty games.
Objective achieved!

she's probably got some prawn on that PC, and when you are near it, she all of the sudden wants to play, so that you won't find them.

Dragon Age is a really awesome game. I was a bit hesitant at first as I wasn't keen to listen to hours of dialogue but by the time I was lvl 6 it was already too late, the story and gameplay had me hooked for the next few days playing through the original and expansion ;O

DO NOT miss it. It's an RPG of note.

I went off multiplayer games, particularly shooters. Single player is much better and the game should have a decent story. Maybe one day I'll go off games completely, but I can't really see that happening.

Great thread.

I feel the same. If a game takes me longer than 10 hours to finish, then I'll never finish it.
