It won't take 3 hours to get it there and a 3.6kw heat pump uses 900w while it's running so even if it's 3 hours it'll be 2700wSo like this 3.6kw unit?
That's going to get water to 60c, not 70, so apples for apples calcs should apply. 3h30 = 7kwh. So in an extreme situation, you're using R500 more per month. That unit installed is going to cost about R17k, so ROI in 3 years which is 1 year into their 'pro-rata' portion of warranty.
