I've come across a weird problem with the GFX on my system, any suggestions would help.

Playing GW (cuz that's the only game i play now), every now and then the
game crashes. Try and re-launch the game and it will choon me that it could
not find DirectX. Try launching any games and i get a similar problem. Check the Rez Settings and it's set @ 4bit colour.

Any ideas?

I've installed the latest DirectX (9c)
Installed the latest Nvidia Drivers

But to no avail, still getting these intermittent errors, it's playing havoc with my R9.50 ISDN callmore :D

Sounds like your vid driver is crashing.
Are you running the latest "Official" or betas?

Check for obvious stuff, like GPU over heating, overclocked etc.

GFX standard.

Tried the GFX drivers with the original packaging as well as the latest forware drivers.

GPU Core temperature @ 52 degrees in game.

I'm stumped

Hmm. Possibly it's a conflict with something already installed on your system.
Try shut down all non-essential services and then see what happens.

Hmmm ..... ok

Think the GFX card might be the cause of the problem.

New prob that points to GFX card is that whilst in game the graphics become "blocky", if i turn down the GFX level and then back up again it then returns to normal. Then in an act of stupidity my logic said maybe the GFX Card is struggling, so i OC'd, and as such have voided the warranty.

Guess that Legend only served me for 4 months

Hmmmm,

Not really, you tell me there has never been an issue with a Gainward, XFX etc etc card?

had a problem like this b4... Is your motherboard a Via chipset?

Not too sure, will check it out later, but this prob has only now crept in.... will give feedback :D

Not going to bother looking @ the link (nothing personal), just that this debate was dragged out before in another thread and do not wish to continue this here.

ok, let me know.. because Nvidia gfx cards had a problem with Via motherboards.. the fix would be to install the lastest M/B drivers and latest Gfx drivers.
